Líquen emerges from the expressiveness of Constança Ochoa, a singer from Coimbra, who combines voice, poetry, and vocal polyphonies. With a fluid musical identity spanning pop, electronic, jazz, and Portuguese folk music, she composes solo but produces collaboratively with Rui Jorge Lopes, Leonardo Patrício, and Luís Pedro Keating. In 2024, she released her debut EP I, exploring intimate and universal contrasts. In 2025, she won the Termómetro Festival and performed at the NOS Alive and Paredes de Coura festivals.”
The long-standing partnership between festival Materiais Diversos and festival BONS SONS is renewed for another edition, continuing the cross-programming and exchange of sensibilities. This ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting culture in its diverse forms and to intersecting and building bridges between different artistic fields.
In 2025, we welcome two national projects that emerge from deeply personal universes: Líquen and A SUL explore, through their sonic microcosms, themes such as intimacy and memory, the tragic and the everyday. Their compositions, made up of everyday sounds and vocal polyphonies, present themselves as an antidote to darkness and banality, where reality blurs with fiction, guiding listeners through metaphor and dissonance to a profoundly human and empathetic place. Two multifaceted artists with fluid musical identities, celebrating new Portuguese music.
