Jardim Casa da Cultura, Alcanena
Composer and producer of her own songs, A SUL transforms sound into image, creating music with a strong visual and cinematic character. In her new album, which includes the previously released Gin and Tela, each track unfolds into suggestive narratives, balancing vulnerability and humor. A SUL explores everyday sounds, crafting an immersive musical environment that turns the ordinary into a unique sensory experience.
The long-standing partnership between festival Materiais Diversos and festival BONS SONS is renewed for another edition, continuing the cross-programming and exchange of sensibilities. This ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting culture in its diverse forms and to intersecting and building bridges between different artistic fields.
In 2025, we welcome two national projects that emerge from deeply personal universes: Líquen and A SUL explore, through their sonic microcosms, themes such as intimacy and memory, the tragic and the everyday. Their compositions, made up of everyday sounds and vocal polyphonies, present themselves as an antidote to darkness and banality, where reality blurs with fiction, guiding listeners through metaphor and dissonance to a profoundly human and empathetic place. Two multifaceted artists with fluid musical identities, celebrating new Portuguese music.
