BlackBox is an educational project dedicated to choreographic creation and development, initiated by the association O Corpo da Dança and, through partnership, extended to the Estúdio de Dança de Alcanena, a dance school based in Alcanena since 2014. A black box where the possibilities of multiple universes emerge in each unique choreography. Over a period of 3 to 4 months, the choreographic compositions are developed in the studio. In the week leading up to the public presentation, students take part in a residency at the theatre, working closely with the venue’s technical team on the production setup. A unique experience in performance creation and production.
